fficials of the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) and the Gujarat Crime Branch have joined hands with the CID (Crime) to investigate the answer-key leak of the Gujarat Police Constable Recruitment exam which was supposed to be held on Sunday. A few people were arrested late last night.

The recruitment exam conducted by Lok Rakshak Dal (LDR) was cancelled after reports of paper leak.

The written exam for the recruitment of 9,713 posts of fixed pay constables in Gujarat was cancelled barely hours before it was scheduled to commence after authorities learned that the paper had got leaked, an official said.

This left 8,76,356 candidates -- coming from not only across the state but also from outside -- stranded and confused.

What happened right before the exams?
Just a few hours before the exam was supposed to start, the police learned that the answer key of the Gujarat Police Constable Recruitment exam had been leaked.

"Somebody sent me a list of answers, and they were answers to the questions set for the examination. We called off the examination as it was clear that the paper had been leaked," said Vikas Sahay, the chairman of Lok Rakshak Dal , the conducting body of exam.
